Tritech’s aim is to conduct all its business activities in a way that guarantees a good work environment for all parties, while taking into consideration and preserving the environment and natural resources as good as possible. - Part of the policy is to provide a good and safe work environment and to protect the environment, as well as preserve energy and natural resources.
- The policy has been in use for many years and was formalized in 2007. It has proved useful through the years and is the foundation of the following objectives:
- Provide a good and safe work environment where the staff has been properly trained, and there is suitable safety and emergency equipment available.
- Take responsibility for the environment where we operate, act immediately and responsibly if an incident occurs or in situations that can pose a threat to health, safety or environment. Report incidents to the authorities and inform the concerned parties.
- Preserve natural resources by reusing and recycling material, and by always taking the environmental impact into consideration when deciding on purchases.
- Keep continuous dialogues with our suppliers regarding environmental aspects, requirements and environmental thinking.
- Develop, produce and market products that are safe for the intended use, energy efficient and environmentally adapted so that they can be recycled or disposed of safely after use.
- Use development and production methods that do not damage the environment, improve methods and develop technologies to minimize the waste, avoid the pollution of air, water and other areas, minimize health and safety risks as well as handle waste safely and responsibly.
- Ensure an economical use of energy in all operations, by saving energy and improving energy use.
- See to that all business travels are as environmentally effective as possible. This is achieved by, for example, the use of car-pools and requirements that all new company cars as of 2008 must be so-called environmentally friendly cars.
- Fulfil or exceed all relevant requirements from the authorities and other voluntary requirements that Tritech has committed itself to fulfil. Tritech shall establish and follow its own requirements in all places where Tritech operates.
All employees and every person that performs services for Tritech are expected to follow the policy and report any environmental, health or safety issues to his or her superior. Superiors are expected to act immediately if the policy is not complied with. An introduction to Tritech’s environmental policy shall take place in connection to the basic introduction course for new employees. |
